Come join us for a day of fellowship, learning, and FUN!! Girl Scouts of Central Illinois is offering a variety of classes and time with other leaders to share with you. Get some new ideas of things to do with your Girl Scout troop.

Share this information with your co-leaders, assistant leaders, and other adult registered Girl Scouts. Make plans to car pool with others from your area.  The more the merrier!

• Are you traveling an hour or more? For a small fee of $5.00 you can spend Friday night. Arrive between 6:00-9:00pm save driving Saturday morning. There will not be planned activities, you must provide your own supper etc., no showers available, Continental breakfast provided. When you register mark Distance Traveler. Overnight space availability is limited.Your confirmation letter will indicate your Friday Night overnight.

Class sizes limited for some sessions.

• Ceremonies – Ceremonies are a part of Girl Scout heritage. Learn different ceremonies for different occasions.
• Fire Starters – Learn how to make fire starters for your next outdoor adventure. 
• Recycling to Upcycling Crafts  – Want to know how to use some of the things most people throw away? This is the class for you. Learn how to turn trash into treasures by upcycling.  Upcycle is the process of converting waste material or useless products into new materials or products of better quality for better environmental value.

• Box Ovens   –  Make and take your own box oven. Learn how and what you can bake in them.

  Knots   – Knots can be a helpful thing to learn especially for camping or traveling.  Learn how to do different knots, ones you can go back and teach your girls. 

  Songs   – Learn some of the Girl Scout songs, graces, & camp songs.

  Troop Trips   – Need some ideas as to where you can go with your girls? Not sure where to start planning? How to figure the budget for it? This class will help you do that and give you resources.

  SWAPS   –  You may have heard the word “SWAP” but just wasn’t quite sure what they are about.  Learn the history and how to make a few simple ones. Get resources on how to make many more.

  Games   – Learn some games to keep your girls busy, or to get more acquainted. For small troops or large ones.  Help add some excitement to your meeting with this fun class.

  Sit Upons   – Learn how to make this useful tool for your outdoor adventures. Want to what this is?  Then this class is for you make and take one with you.

   

• You will receive a confirmation letter with your confirmed classes along with more detailed information, shortly after final deadline of February 10^th .
