Travel Trail is so much more than camping in the outdoors! It is an once in a lifetime adventure with fellow Girl Scouts in the wilderness. We will be exploring the wilderness trails of the Black River State Forest in Southeastern Wisconsin where elk roam free and are being restored to their natural habitat once again. So get your backpack and hiking boots ready for an adventure where you will learn new outdoor skills such as cleaning your own water straight from the stream, making your own campfire ring and gathering wood to make a fire, locate your own site to pitch a tent 100 feet from the trail and navigate using a compass and map. At the end of the week we will drop our backpacks and hiking shoes and jump in for a swim and a chance to canoe before heading back to Tapawingo!
