We are so excited that you are joining our Brownie Connect Troop! These are virtual meetings using Zoom. The email confirmation from your registration will contain your information on how to logon to the virtual meeting.

This troop will meet every 2 weeks. The dates will be 4/16, 4/30, 5/14, 5/28, 6/11, 6/25, 7/9, 7/23. 

The meetings will all start at 5:30 p.m. (CST) and will be approximately 30 minutes.

The girls will be working on earning Brownie badges during these meetings.

Each badge will take 2 meetings to complete:

4/16 - Brownie Home Scientist:

4/30 - Brownie Home Scientist: Materials Needed

  • 1 teaspoon, 1 tablespoon, 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 clean, empty 20 oz soda bottle
  • 1 balloon (have extra balloons on hand)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup hair conditioner

5/14 - Brownie Fling Flyer: Materials Needed

  • paper to make paper airplane
  • crayons or markers to decorate
  • 1 dowel (can use BBQ skewers, straws)
  • 10 or more craft sticks
  • 1 paper clip
  • 1 large rubber band
  • 1 piece of heavy cardboard (small square)
  • paper - construction, white - a variety of papers give girls the girls the opportunity to try making planes with different paper weights
  • tape (masking or duct) or glue
  • scissors

5/28 - Brownie Fling Flyer - Materials Needed

  • Fling Flyers made in meeting
  • leftover materials for girls to redesign their Flyers - craft sticks, paper, paper clips, tape
  • masking tape
  • cone, rock or anything to mark the furthest distance flown
  • measuring tape or ruler

6/11 - Bugs - Materials Needed

  • paper plates, or paper cut in a circle
  • markers or crayons
  • googly eyes, glue dots, glitter
  • black pipe cleaners
  • glue stick/glue or tape
  • cardboard box (shoe or cereal or other) with a rectangle cut out of one side and taped with plastic wrap to cover opening
  • pencils to poke holes in box

6/25 - Bugs - Materials Needed

  • paper
  • pens and pencils

7/9 Dancer - No Materials Needed

7/23 - Dancer - No Materials Needed
