Become a nomadic traveler as we caravan and camp our way through GSCI’s camps with a few fun stops along the way. Starting at Camp Tapawingo, spend the day in a harness swinging from the cables of the 20ft high ropes course. Spend the night camping at Camp Widjiwagan on your way to explore the City Museum in St. Louis! Take aim on the archery range of Camp Kiwanis and hike the trail along the Sangamon River. On your way back to Tapawingo stop by Starved Rock State Park in Oglesby to check out the beautiful canyons and waterfalls!

Campers Entering Grades 7-12 in fall 2026

Please note: No application is needed for Road Trippers. We recommend that campers have attended overnight camp twice prior to this session and will be required to pack, carry, and tend to their own gear. Mess kits/sturdy dishes are required. Backpacking packs are suggested.

Cancellation Policy
Refund requests must be submitted in writing and will be considered at the discretion of the Director of Program. No refund will be issued if a camper is sent home due to unacceptable behavior or homesickness or if the camper is a "no show" for the session. The deposit fee will not be refunded once the registration fee has been processed.
